The
Society's organization and practice are firmly rooted in the observation, belief, and philosophy that:

is a Divine Unifying Consciousness which has created and sustains this
Universe.

We have chosen through sovereign free will to incarnate in this Universe.

There exists a set of "Cosmic
Laws" which are observable in all
aspects and at all levels of this Universe, and that alignment or
misalignment with these laws unfailingly determines the level of
functionality and sustainability in relationships, structures, and personal
experience.

All beings and things are a part of the Divine Unifying Consciousness.
Working
in accordance with these understandings, the Society strives always to be
inclusive and embracing, and all aspects of the organization's structure and
activities reflect these principles. The particular "name" that
any individual gives to the Divine Unifying Consciousness (God, Goddess, Deity,
etc.) is of no concern to the Society, and membership in the Society may be
conferred upon anyone who is in agreement with, and dedicated to, the tenets, doctrines, and
disciplines of the Society.
The
Society of Conscious Service is a non-profit organization which was officially
incorporated in the State of Washington on April 5th, 2004. The stated
purpose of the organization is to operate a religious non-profit organization (a
"church" by IRS definition) in order to "promote,
support the practice of, publish materials and provide education about the
tenets, doctrines, and disciplines of the Society of Conscious Service".

We
are excited to participate in this incredible era on Earth. Our species is
in the midst of an amazing evolution - a spiritual evolution.
The change
is taking place everywhere, though you may not read about it in the paper or see
it on TV. It is taking place in our homes, our relationships, and
ourselves. Within the paradox of this transformation, we simultaneously
begin to understand our species as a tiny part of a great Universe, and a
vast potential force which has the capability of transmitting this
transformation to all parts of that Universe.
This
is the time we are living in, and the Society of Conscious Service exists to
assist, support, and uplift the human and other beings who are drawn to consciously embracing and accelerating this shift.
